Canning
2009 October 13
Every year, Ryan’s grandparents plant a HUGE garden in the back yard and his grandma does tons and tons of canning to feed them during the winter months. I thought it would be a practical skill to have that might come in handy someday. So, Nana taught me how and we canned 9 quarts of tomato juice. Yum! Next I’ll have to learn how to can meat in case I want to can some wild animals (or dogs) in Indonesia!

i remember when your mom learned to can meet in PA. at NTM. I think that was the same place she learned to kill a chicken!
I remember spending a week plus, with your mom in Pa. canning all kinds of things……I think we had fun????
Good job Miss!!
love you,
gramma
Yay for a photo of YOU!
You look great…glad you coordinated your outfit with your activity.
Love you!
Awesome! I recently learned how to can and blogged about it as well
Such fun! Hope you are all doing well! Maybe I can talk Jerome into letting us drive out and visit you before you fly around the world. Is there a month that is more free than others? I don’t think Wisconsin is too far away. And we know other people we could visit (and stay with) if you were free to visit sometime. (Please don’t feel obligated to a visit…I just thought it’d be cool if you have the time…maybe after your school is over?)
Love,
Crysti
